WHY DO WE GATHER TOGETHER?

We gather on Sundays to focus — and refocus — on the truth of God’s Word and the grace we have through Jesus Christ. We proclaim the gospel, submit ourselves to Scripture, and seek to be transformed by the Spirit. We worship together as God’s people through singing, preaching, prayer, and the sacraments.

What Happens on a Sunday

Our gatherings follow a simple, historic liturgy —

1

We Are Called To Worship

We look to Scripture and hear God Himself call His people to worship. This is not first about style, preference, or personal mood. It is about receiving the Father’s invitation and responding with glad obedience.
2

We Sing

We lift our voices together in response to who God is and what He has done. Our songs are not a warm-up or performance, but the gathered praise of God’s people—declaring truth, stirring faith, and giving thanks to the One who is worthy.
3

We Preach

We open Scripture and sit under God’s Word together. Preaching is not a speech, lecture, or advice for better living, but the authoritative declaration of Christ from the Bible—calling us to faith, repentance, worship, and obedience.
4

We Respond & Pray

After the preaching of God’s Word, we take time to respond to God together. Through singing and prayer, we bring our hearts before Him, responding to His Word and to what the Spirit is calling us to believe, confess, receive, and obey.
5

We Take Communion

We come to the Lord’s Table to remember and receive the grace of Christ. In the bread and cup, we proclaim His death, rest in His finished work, and share together as His covenant people. Communion is not an empty symbol or private ritual, but a Spirit-filled means of grace where Christ strengthens our faith and nourishes us with the benefits of His body and blood.
6

We Are Sent

We end our gathering by receiving God’s blessing from His Word. The benediction is not a closing thought or final announcement, but God sending His people out in the grace of Christ, the love of the Father, and the fellowship of the Spirit.
